Project Overview

The 67.9km2 Tamatert Project is comprised of five licence blocks situated in the High-Atlas terrain of central Morocco, approximately 225km south of the capital Rabat. The Company's 100% owned subsidiary, Aterian Resources is undertaking prelimiary exploration for economic gold deposits.

The Tamatert Project is located 50 km east of the Amizmiz gold mine.

Exploration Programme

The Tamatert Project is located in the High-Atlas terrain where Triassic sediments overlie diorite and microgranite lithologies. The area contains major regional thrust faults and a large sheeted dyke complex; both of which are prospective for gold and base metals. An ASTER remote sensing study commissioned by the Company identified phyllic and argillic alteration along the regional thrust which cuts the north of the licence.

A programme of rock chip sampling has returned encouraging assay grades, including 9.61 g/t Au, 9.5 g/t Au, and 5.10 g/t Au. Work to date suggests that the gold mineralisation is structurally controlled with an orogenic mineralisation model. A number of artisanal mining pits have been discovered in the north of the project.

Further work at the Tamatert project will include further rock chip sampling and geological mapping to identify the scale and the nature of the mineralisation.
