Charles is a geologist and a mineral economist and has 12 years' experience in technical and management positions across Africa. He has been involved in project exploration, appraisal and valuation across a range of commodities including gold, base and speciality metals in a number of countries including Egypt, the C.A.R, DRC, Sierra Leone, Cote d'Ivoire, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Mozambique. Most recently Charles has been consulting to the World Bank's Energy and Extractives Global Practice on the mining sector in the C.A.R. Prior to this he was Head of Exploration for Universal Dawnus and was responsible for assessing projects in Sierra Leone for gold and columbite-tantalite. Charles holds a BSc in Geology from the University of Bristol and an MSc in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines. He is a Member of the Association of Mining Analysts.
